Your Rental Business doesn't need AI, it needs Automation.

Rental businesses have long been a very driven business, with the limiting factor of most lots being the staffed pickup and drop-off processes. It's an irrefutable fact that no one likes to stand in line for rentals.

Touring around Australia as lighting designers, we've found ourselves standing in front of over 50 different rental companies alone, and we've had the same conversation online EVERY time. “Wouldn't it be good if we could do all this online? WHY can't we?”, and the answer I've heard time and time again as we've dived deeper into supporting businesses in the industry is, “we don't know how”.

Rentals in general have been done the same way for a very long time, and most rental software is built around the same assumed process. Book, Pickup In Person, Return In Person. And there is few ways to automate this, as a result we've recently heard a lot of, “can we use AI to transcribe someones drivers license in person”, or “Can we use AI to send customers details for extending their orders?” and while these are all great use cases they don’t fix the core issue which is a lack of customer transparency and control over the rental process.
